Visiting Walla Walla in 2014!

In the summer of 2014 we traveled with our youngest daughter and an exchange student from Mobile AL to Walla Walla WA.  We wanted to visit an older daughter and her growing family.

We had a tent trailer with a wood floor that
allowed us to have a "home away from home".

Our daughter and her nieces greet each other moments after arriving.

We stayed at a farm home not far from the family residence.
Here the grandchildren use a see-saw while visiting.

It was an honor to drop off and pick up the
grandchildren on their last day of school.
We sang "Happy Last Day of School..." to the tune of "Happy Birthday to you..."

We visited nearby state parks like Beaver Falls!

While Mom and Dad worked we did arts and crafts
at home!

Sometimes they played little house in Walla Walla!

Sometimes we went to the library just for fun.

We traveled through a blizzard to get to Crater Lake in Oregon.

Crater Lake was beautiful once we were above the blizzard to see it!

Camping in the snow, sleet and freezing temperatures was fun.

This was just before our hike from the rim of the volcanic crater down into the cleanest, clearest and deepest lake in the world!

The hike and the view is as important as the destination.
Taking a break for lunch.
Once we got to the lake some were brave enough to get in.
It was cold.

Even those who rode down knew this was a special place.

During the trip home from Crater Lake we went to mass.

Sometimes when you knock down a lot of pins you are quite happy.

The local museums were fun to visit.

In our trips to the library we found that we had
some real avid readers!

Picnics in July mean watermelon.

Time to play little house on the Prairie!
Sometimes we walked to the park.  Stood in or sat next to the creek.
Nearby there was a cherry tree and a gingerbread house.

Fire pits and cook outs were fun too.

The puppet show was great!

We will forever treasure this note from our
adult child after our three week stay in Washington in 2014.
The photos do not do the visit justice.
The visit was much better and there are many more wonderful photos!

All the pictures of Grace are prior to
her being medicated and undergoing some form
of "recovered memory therapy"
either through a counselor therapist or
friends using one of the harmful
"Do It Yourself Therapy Books".

With family who truly knows and loves her in 2013.

Satisfied and happy with our hike overlooking Phoenix

With sisters, mother and brother while Dad takes a picture!

Celebrating with her brother at his graduation from college.

Here is Grace as we climb out of the Grand Canyon.

As a teenager while we were climbing hills in the western US.

As one of four teens living at home with her family.

Delightful 10 year old!

As a pre-teen at a family reunion in 1997.

A break from white water rafting together as a family.

10 year old Birthday

Here she energetically plays basketball for St. Mary's!

Learning to dance with her brother!

30 years ago as the youngest child of 4 at the time.

She loved going to the beach and being in the water with her mother.

Daddy had to keep an eye on her because she loved to crawl
toward the big waves!
